At UMA NAILS, we believe that nails are a canvas for self-expression and self-care, but going to the salon is expensive and time consuming. UMA NAILS wants to change all that - to make nail-salons redundant. Instead, we offer beautiful nail designs by reinterpreting the conventional nail-salon experience with sustainable, trendy, quick, comfortable, affordable and always easy to use nails which can be applied anywhere, anytime, while still maintaining salon quality and looks. 3. Are UMA NAILS products safe?

YES! We guarantee 10-Free Peace of Mind. It’s an absolute priority at UMA NAILS that the ingredients used for the production of our self-adhesive soft gels are completely cruelty free, 10-free, and without the use of harmful UVs.

• 10-Free is a designation for nail products that do not contain the following 10 harmful chemicals: Phthalates, Formaldehyde, DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate), Toluene, Camphor, Formaldehyde Resin, Xylene, Parabens, Ethyl Tosylamide, Fragrances.

 

4. What is in each UMA NAILS set?

Each Design Set Includes:

• 14 self-adhesive nail polish wraps in 7 different sizes
• 2 prep pads (1 before application & 1 after removal)
• 1 mini nail file
• 1 cuticle pusher stick
• Instructions are on the back of UMA NAILS packaging  

Each Glitter and Solid Set Includes:

• 16 self-adhesive nail polish wraps in 8 different sizes
• 2 prep pads (1 before application & 1 after removal)

Each Pedicure Set Includes:

• 22 self-adhesive nail polish wraps in 11 different sizes

5. How long do they last? 

UMA NAILS soft gel wraps are designed to last for 7-10 days with proper application.

 

6. Do you have some tips to keep my UMA NAILS wraps looking fabulous?

• Avoid submerging your soft gel wraps in water for a few hours after applying to allow for the adhesive to set.
• Durability varies according to your nail structure, daily routine, level of activity, among other factors. 
• Soft gel wraps adhere best on buffed nail surfaces. Consider buffing the surface of your nails if you have a glossy, smooth, or oily nail surface. 
• In order to enhance durability for use beyond 10 days, apply a layer of base coat to prevent moisture seeping underneath the soft gel wraps. 
• If the soft gels get chipped during wear, use the extra pieces to replace them.
• Keep them looking their best by clipping and filing as needed.

 

7. How do I put UMA NAILS soft gels on?

1. File and shape your nails as desired.
2. Buff the surface of your nails so the nail soft gels can better adhere (optional).
3. Use the prep pad to clean your nails thoroughly.
4. Push back cuticles with cuticle stick included (optional).
5. Measure soft gels to find the perfect fit for each nail.
6. Remove clear plastic protection film.
7. Peel a manicure / pedicure from the sheet. To avoid touching the adhesive side, use tweezers.
8. Apply the manicure / pedicure on your nail from the bottom (your cuticle) to the tip. Press firmly to smooth out the nail wraps, gently rubbing out any wrinkles or bubbles.
9. Fold the excess over the tip and cut or file off downwards.
10. Repeat the above steps for your other fingers or toes.

 

8. Do I need to apply Top Coat?

No, you do not need to apply top coat. However, we highly recommend applying top coat for a longer lasting finish.

Note: there are only a few top coats that are suitable for soft gel wraps, which will not cause bubbles, shrinkage, nor peeling. See list below for a selection of suitable top coats:

• Rimmel London Finishing Touch Ultra Shine Top Coat
• NCLA Gelous Extended Wear Gel Top Coat
• Out The Door Top Coat

 

9. How do I remove UMA NAILS soft gels?

Gently peel them off. No nail polish remover needed (we’d like to keep you free of chemicals).

If the soft gel wraps are a little hard to take off, soak your nails in warm water for a few minutes to loosen the adhesive and peel them off with the cuticle stick included.

 

10. Are UMA NAILS soft gel wraps reusable?

No, they are not reusable. UMA NAILS soft gel wraps are designed to be for one-time use.

 

11. Do you ship internationally?

Yes, UMA NAILS ships globally wherever you are located and shipping costs will be applied accordingly at checkout. Shipping is free for continental U.S. orders over $20. 

 

12. How long will it take to receive my order?

It depends where you are located. Orders processed in the continental United States will be shipped out the same day if the order is placed before 12pm PST Monday - Friday. If orders are placed on weekends, they will be fulfilled on the next business day. Orders are fulfilled in the order they are placed. 

Please note that orders placed during holiday seasons may experience longer fulfillment times, though we pride ourselves on efficiency and orders will be shipped as quickly as possible. 

Orders usually take 5-7 business days to arrive. The timeframe for overseas deliveries can vary, taking up to anywhere from 7-15 days. Delivery details will be provided in your order confirmation email. 

Please expect some delay due to COVID-19. Please note that UMA NAILS will not be responsible for delays caused by domestic and international carriers experiencing delays due to COVID-19.

 

13. What if my package was lost or damaged?

UMA NAILS will not be responsible for the replacement or reimbursement of packages delivered to the address provided. If a package has been labelled as “Delivered” by the courier and you have not received it, please ensure that the address was provided correctly. If the address provided was accurate, please contact the shipping carrier responsible for the delivery of the package (found on the tracking page). After describing the situation and providing the tracking number, the shipping carrier will be able to assist you in locating and recovering your package.

 

14. What if my order arrived with defects?

We strive to ensure that every product is up to UMA NAILS standards but if you feel you have received a defective product, please email us at support@umanails.com with your order number and a clear photo of the defective merchandise. Claims for defective items must be filed within 3 business days of delivery.

 

15. What if my package is delayed?

Please contact the shipping carrier immediately if your tracking page is alerting you to a delay. Usually, this means additional information is needed for your package to be delivered correctly. If the carrier is unable to deliver your package, please contact us directly via email at support@umanails.com with a description of your issue, order number, and the correct shipping address. The address you provide MUST match the address you used when you placed the order.

 

16. Can I return the product?

We always aim to make sure our customers love our soft gel wraps, but if you do need to return an order, we’re happy to help. UMA NAILS offers a 30 day hassle-free return or exchange policy for sealed and unused nail sets. Once we have received the returned merchandise, we will inspect the items and issue a refund within 3 business days.

UMA NAILS will NOT be responsible for issuing refunds for products that have been damaged in any way. A credit will then be applied to your original form of payment. Your banking institution may take additional time to process and post the credit to your account once they have received this information. The refund may take up to 14 days to reflect on your bank account.

For the return shipping address, and if you have any other concerns, please feel free to email us directly at support@umanails.com and we’ll take you through the process. Please note, customers will be responsible for the return shipping cost.

 

17. Can I exchange my soft gel wraps? 

Of course! Change your mind? No, problem. UMA NAILS offers a 30 day hassle-free return or exchange policy for sealed and unused nail sets. Please contact us at support@umanails.com and we’ll take you through the process. Please note, customers will be responsible for the return shipping cost. 

 

18. What if I want to cancel my order?

Orders may only be canceled within 24 hours. Please email us at support@umanails.com if you wish to cancel your order. After 24 hours, the order will have been processed and may already be en-route to you and can no longer be cancelled, only returned.

 

19. When is the next promotion, launch of new designs, or restocking?
